Aquaventure Water Park - There is so much a family can do at Atlantis. We happen to be big water lovers so the majority of our time was spent enjoying Aquaventure Water Park. With water slides, nine pools, a mile long exciting river to tube with rapids, twists and turns, as you can imagine our days were spent in the water. SpecialGlobe Tip – All of the pools are zero entry. There are different locations of zero entry for the mile rapid and current river. Most of the slides require walking up many steps so those family members in wheel chairs would not be able to access this attraction. Be sure to take a look at the Access Guide located under the resources for specific information.
Dolphin Cay – Wow Wow Wow!!! This was the highlight for my daughter with special needs. We did a shallow water interaction with a dolphin and she just loved it! You also have the opportunity to sign up for a deep water interaction. I was fearful that she would not be strong enough to hold on.
SpecialGlobe Tip – You enter the Dolphin Lagoon via a sand beach and they do have beach wheel chairs available. Be sure to speak to the staff about your child’s needs when you book the experience so they can best suit your individual needs and make the experience as special as possible.
Atlantis Kids Adventures – A club for kids aged 3 to 12. Kids can choose their experience. They offer culinary lessons, interactive electronic art, theater, outdoor play and lots more!
SpecialGlobe Tip – This was the first time that I have ever left my daughter at a kids club but I wanted to give her the experience and be able to share it with you! It went great and she loved it! They provided a one on one staff member with her, which they can plan for if you sign up in advance. I tried it for two hours and it went perfectly. I was provided a pager in case they needed me and they were very responsible and really wonderful with my daughter!
Shopping – Atlantis is filled with incredible shopping. Something for mom, dad and the kids can be found in the many different stores around the resort.
SpecialGlobe Tip- My kids especially loved the shop next to Dolphin Cay filled with lots of great T-shirts, toys and souvenirs.
