San Diego is overflowing with unexpected and delicious dining choices. Here are a few of our favorites!
SpecialGlobe Tips: When eating in SeaWorld Theme Park, many restaurants are cafeteria-style. For guests with special dietary needs, allergy friendly options are available. You can stop by Guest Services that is located just inside the park to the right of the Main Entrance. You can also download a Chef Card that you can fill out for yourself or your child with any allergy information the chef needs to know. You then hand the card directly to a supervisor or chef at any meal facility and they will assist you with your allergen friendly meal.
For guests that cannot tolerate long lines or access the cafeteria lines or have special dietary needs, you can go straight to the cashier or restaurant host when you arrive and ask to speak with a supervisor for assistance.
Dine With Shamu SeaWorld San Diego SeaWorld Drive San Diego, California 92109 800-257-4268
The absolute highlight of my daughter’s trip to San Diego was an up-close, poolside lunch with Shamu. Enjoy a delicious buffet while learning all about Shamu. Be sure to reserve your table early—they fill up quickly.
There are great selections for your whole family in this buffet style restaurant. With healthy options to choose from as well as ways to splurge, including a sundae breakfast bar! Your kids will also have an opportunity to meet LegoLand characters while enjoying their meal.
Bistro West 4960 Avenida Encinas Carlsbad, California 92008 760-930-8008
This was such a great break from the food at LegoLand and also a nice opportunity to step off the campus. Wonderful fresh ingredients and great menu options for both parents and kids.
Cheesecake Factory The Headquarters at Seaport District 789 W. Harbor Drive San Diego, California 92101 619-231-0036
Located just across the street for the Manchester Grand Hyatt this was both an easy and a delicious option for us.
When taking a stroll through Seaport Village, be sure to stop by the Candy Shack and Yogurt shop. You can find frozen yogurt, seventeen flavors of saltwater taffy, homemade chocolates, hand-dipped caramel apples, novelty candy, jelly beans, nuts and so much more. The kids will love it!
Basic East Village 410 10th Avenue (on the corner of 10th Avenue and J Street) San Diego, California 92101 619-531-8869 This restaurant had great pizza and menu with a neighborhood feel!
